Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. to turn himself in after groping allegation: NBC News

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Film actor Cuba Gooding Jr. intends to flip himself in to New York Metropolis police right after a girl accused him of groping her at a Manhattan bar more than the weekend, NBC Information reported on Wednesday, citing Gooding’s agent.

The Oscar-wining actor plans to current himself to the NYPD’s sexual intercourse crimes unit on Thursday, according to NBC Information.

The girl, who has not been determined, alleged that Gooding touched her breasts at the bar on Sunday night, the community claimed, citing legislation enforcement sources.

An lawyer for Gooding did not quickly react to a request for remark or confirmation.

NYPD spokeswoman Detective Sophia Mason mentioned she had noticed the news report, but had no information on it.

Requested about the reported allegation on Monday, NYPD spokesman Detective Martin Brown claimed, “We never definitely have anything at all official to say about it other than that there’s been an allegation and that it is at the moment underneath investigation.”

Gooding won the Academy Award for finest supporting actor in 1997 for his portrayal of an athlete in the film “Jerry Maguire.”
