A new multi-genre music and arts festival kicked off on Wednesday in London, web hosting countless numbers of the British capital’s artwork-loving people. The Turquazz: Anatolian Jazz & Roots Pageant shines a light-weight on Anatolian jazz and roots culture emanating from Turkey and its encompassing locations,” reported a statement from the Yunus Emre Institute, a single of the event’s organizers.
Live shows by a plethora of artists and teams prepared during the festival, like DJ Murat Meriç, Yarkın Duo, Anatolian Blues Undertaking, Timeless, Barış Demirel, Funkbook a la Turc and Debora İpekel.
The celebration is funded by the Arts Council England and the Yunus Emre Institute. It is made by Loyka Visible Arts and sponsored by the Turkish Embassy London, Turkish Airlines, MYRA, Radisson Blu, Laz Cafe and SOAS College of London.
The two-7 days function begun with Jazz Bites, an event advertising Anatolian foods society and jazz, and will proceed in various venues across London till March 30.
