dorsal nucleus of vagus n.
- The visceral motor nucleus that is located in the vagal trigone of the floor of the fourth ventricle and gives rise to the parasympathetic fibers of the vagus nerve innervating the heart muscle and the smooth musculature and glands of the respiratory and intestinal tracts.
