LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – A Ludlow man was arraigned Monday early morning on multiple felony costs soon after a woman described to law enforcement that he wanted to destroy her “biblical model.”
According to Ludlow Law enforcement Lieutenant Daniel Valadas, 41-yr-previous Christopher Barroso appeared in Palmer District Court immediately after getting held on a $25,000 income bail more than the weekend at the Hampden County Correctional Heart. Barroso was charged with the adhering to in the course of his arraignment:
- Assault and battery on family/household member
- Threatening to dedicate a criminal offense (murder)
- Two counts of assault and battery on a police officer
- Resisting arrest
On Saturday, a 40-calendar year-previous Chicopee woman described to Ludlow Police that she experienced been violently assaulted by her boyfriend, Barroso, at a Chapin Road property. The woman advised police Barroso pushed her to the ground, spat on her, smashed her into the floor leading to her to strike her elbow and head. She said that Barroso threatened he would destroy her “biblical design and style.”
Investigators spoke with the woman’s son, who told law enforcement Barroso experienced texted him stating, “I want to kill your mom.”
Ludlow officers went to the Chapin St. home and situated Barroso in the basement. According to Lt. Valadas, when officers attempted to discuss with Barroso, he became belligerent and yelled at officers.
As the officers tried to arrest him on probable induce for assaulting his girlfriend, Barroso allegedly turned increasingly hostile and violent. Lt. Valadas claimed Barroso resisted arrest and bit 1 of the officers in the leg.
Barroso also managed to wrap both of his legs about an officer, forcing the officers to carry him out of the house, while kicking and threatening to chunk them yet again. Barroso was allegedly uncooperative and remained combative through the booking approach at the Ludlow Police Office.
He is scheduled again to court docket for a dangerousness listening to Thursday.
