But Gordon lists it as a loan-word from Latin sarcia; other sources are silent on the point. Cf. also Lithuanian sarkas “shirt,” Old Church Slavonic sraka “tunic,” Russian soročka, Finnish sarkki “shirt,” all of which perhaps are from Germanic.
