trichonocardiosis [trĭk′ə-nō-kär′dē-ō′sĭs] n.

1. An infection of hair shafts, especially of the axillary and pubic regions, with microorganisms of the genus Nocardia. Yellow, red, or black concretions develop around the infected hair shafts.
